Came here today for lunch with my (German) boyfriend and we both thoroughly enjoyed the meal and appreciated our kind and attentive waitress.

I ordered a Jaeger schnitzel (switching out the red cabbage for a side of mixed veggies), which I enjoyed thoroughly. The mushroom wine sauce was heavy on the wine, but in a delightful way, and the spaeztle had a good texture to it--definitely scratched the itch I've been having for German food. The house salad that we shared was also quite good, with a lovely house vinaigrette, though the croutons were a bit on the excessively crunchy side.

The decor is kitschy, but that seems typical as far as German restaurants here in the US. I particularly enjoyed the eclectic collection of books on the center table, with my favorite being a German cookbook on Indian cuisine.

What happened Village Corner? You used to be excellent and worth our $75 meal. The Honey Weisen recipe changed and now it tastes weird. The same with the Pilsner. It was not good at all.

The weinersnitzel used to be as big as my hand and now it was 2 thin pieces and the breading changed? The German potatoes were tough and super sour. The red cabbage was definitely from a can and not your usual recipe. I'm very well aware of what this should taste like because we've eaten here for over 5 years. I know when a place is just having an off day and when they've changed direction.

The staff was very nice and the sweets are still good but I have to say, sadly, I think this was our last lunch/dinner visit unless I'm sure the food's changed. This was our 2nd disappointing dinner. This makes our family sad.

Absolutely amazing food and service for the past 4 times I've been here... And I've only been here 4 times! I always tell my family and friends to come see the restaurant! My mom and grandparents have said over and over again this is the best restaurant experience they've ever had!

One waitress Madelon is unbelievably talented when it comes to her memory and hospitality... she remembered what we ordered the last time my grandparents were in town several months ago and does an outstanding job every time! I always have to stop for a second when I get the food because it's that good!!!

Some reviews on here complain about the decor and what not... I would love to know what a modern German restaurant is supposed to feel like... I enjoy the feeling of this place. It is very quaint and comfortable... a great place to escape the city vibes! I find this funny because the dated feel is kind of the point.

We stopped here after spending the morning at Stone Mountain. We arrived at 3 and it was fairly busy (but not overcrowded). Decor inside is a bit odd and dated but we were seated in a little alcove with a window.

We were super thirsty so we only ordered water. We did spring for the giant pretzel (it's $10)! But it is huge and delicious. It comes with mustard (delicious) and beer cheese (mediocre). We were super pleased.

I had the Rueben and it was fantastic. Tender corned beef great kraut. The German potato salad wasn't great, potatoes seemed under cooked. But not awful.

The kids had brats and loved them. I sampled and thought they were incredible. Fries were also delicious. My sister had a burger and was very satisfied.

Food came out fast (less than 15 minutes). Service was ok. My cup was empty a lot of the time but I was chugging water. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Price is on the high end, but reasonable. About $50 for everything above (we only had water).

We bought pastries on the way out. Delicious!!!!!! We had a super fun time, I can't wait to bring my parents when they're in town.

This is my favorite place to go for German food. I've been coming here for about 8 years & I've never had a bad meal.  Everything is always fresh & the sauerbraten is made the way my Grandmother used to make it.

They have this really great beer which is brewed on site called Berlinger Weisse.  It's a light beer mixed with raspberry syrup served in a gigantic glass with a straw.  I was so happy to have found this beer again because the only place I used to get it was in NJ & it can't be found anywhere else as far as I know.

I've been here for Oktober Fest, they have beer contests & a band & it's really a lot of fun.

If you like or want to try real German food, this is the place to go.
